hello everyone , hope you’re all doing ok !
sorry i’ve been so quiet on here – it feels like ages since i’ve posted anything ….
its been quite a busy time behind the scenes with lots of exciting passenger related things going on 🙂 some of which will be announced throughout this week so keep an eye out (especially if you live in AUSTRALIA….. )
for now though , i wanted to share something with you all .
i was recently lucky enough to spend some time in JAPAN – a country that i’ve been fascinated by for many years and has always been high on the bucket list of places to visit .
i was only there for a week but it completely blew my mind . the people , the food and the culture generally was like nothing i’d ever experienced before . i really hope i can go back one day to explore it further and perhaps play a gig or two …..
whilst i was there i recorded this song with a few really good friends of mine – some of you will be familiar with Stu Larsen and Natsuki Kurai (if not then please check out there music when you can ) they’re two of the best people that i know and both extremely talented dudes . we were also joined by natuski’s lovely wife chica and their unbelievably cute 6 month old daughter nagi (listen out at the end of the track for her guest vocals …. pretty adorable :-))
in light of the recent heartbreaking events in paris , beirut and other areas of the world , i’d like to dedicate this song to anyone that has been directly or in fact indirectly affected by it all . it feels like a strange time at the moment . a time where it is perhaps easy to forget the good in people and the beauty that we create as human beings and to focus only on the tragic and terrible things that we do to each other and the environment . i don’t want to make a big statement here , only to offer this song in the hope that by putting something simple and positive out in to the world that it might help in some small way .
thanks so much for taking the time to read this and hope you enjoy the song .

AUCKLAND – what a fantastic couple of days .
the Auckland Civic Theatre is a magical place and last night it couldn’t have been filled by nicer people . you were a truly beautiful crowd . thank you xxx
we were also lucky enough to go and record in Roundhead Studios New Zealand for a day – one of the most incredible places to make music i’ve ever had the pleasure of being in . thanks so much to Neil Finn and team for having us (might post a little song from there in the next day or two ….)
WELLINGTON – we are in you tonight . come down to the Michael Fowler Centre if you’re at a loose end – its gonna be sweet xx

CAIRNS – we had the most incredible time with you guys . not only was the gig absolutely amazing (thank you all so much for coming – i truly loved it !!) but the wonderful people at Cairns Tropical Zoo let us come and hang out with this bunch of legends smile emoticon (top left / bottom right is my new friend mabel – she’s a sleepy little one yr old koala ….. ridiculously cute !!) we also fed massive crocodiles which i have to say were less adorable . honestly just the most amazing experience . thank you xxxxx
on our way to NEW ZEALAND now and i can’t wait to see you guys again – its been too long !! tickets available for both AUCKLAND and WELLINGTON at passengermusic.com – see ya soon xxx

ADELAIDE – thank you for an amazing couple of days . fantastic gig last night and we managed to get a “cheeky” afternoon at the beach in too (sorry about the picture haha ….. it was the only towel left in the shop and we were left with no choice but to take this ridiculous photo …. we are idiots !! )

PARIS – tuesdays gig was special for a number of reasons . first of all to be able to play at the Olympia (Paris) was incredible – its amazing to see how many legends have played at that venue and to be able to do the same felt pretty surreal
secondly , to nearly sell it out and to play to such an attentive crowd was a total pleasure . a massive thanks to everyone that came down !!!!!
thirdly , my mum and dad came from england to watch the show . my dad used to live in paris in the early 70’s and when i told him months ago that i’d be playing at the olympia he laughed and told me that he’d seen Leonard Cohen play there in 1972 .
it just so happens that both my mum and dad have birthdays around this time of year so for a joint birthday present i booked them a little trip to paris to coincide with the show .
it was an amazingly emotional experience for me and i think for them too . what a crazy world this is – for my dad to have been in a room in paris as a man in his twenties watching leonard cohen and then forty years later to go back to the same place to watch his son perform …. bizarre and pretty cool !! anyway , sorry if this is a bit self indulgent but just wanted to share it with you all .
here they are taking an adorable selfie on the eurostar
BARCELONA – can.not.wait.
